Starting An Online Business-2 Fundamental Steps To Succeed Online
In this article I look at the 2 fundamental keys you will need to succeed online. If you are looking for a silver bullet or a get rich quick gimmick you can stop reading now. Because the 2 keys to which I refer are not trendy, not commodities that you can buy and are common to all successful entrepreneurs, whether online or offline.
Key 1-Flair
To succeed in any business you will need some degree of flair. In the context of starting an online business(or any business) what this means is an ability to adapt to circumstances which in a business environment are ever changing.
To gain a defined outcome, many tasks can be reduced to a linear list of things to do and the outcome will be the one sought. Business is different.
In business you must have an ability to recognise what works for you and what does not work, recognise your strengths and weaknesses, and adapt your business model to one that a) you are incredibly comfortable with and have confidence in and b) one that works.
What this means in a nutshell is that regardless of the business model you start out with, there will come a point in time when you will need to tweak it, maybe carry out surgery on it, but you will not succeed if you follow a guru’s teaching blindly without an ability to fine tune it to get the outcome you desire ie online profits.
Key 2-Persistence
It was Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonalds, who valued persistence above all other qualities when it comes to succeeding in business. He pointed out that the world was full of unfulfilled geniuses who did not have the discipline or persistence to succeed at whatever venture they embarked on.
Running an online business can be a lonely, tough job and it will take hard work, discipline and above all, persistence to succeed.
Have you got what it takes?
